Conditions when using the spray nozzle:
Test for second characteristic numeral 3 with spray nozzle
The counterbalanced shield is in place for this test.
The water pressure is adjusted to give the specified delivery rate.
The pressure to achieve this delivery rate will be in the range of
50 kPa to 1 50 kPa. It should be kept constant during the test.
The test duration is 1 min/m 2 of the calculated surface area of
the enclosure (excluding any mounting surface), with a minimum
duration of 5 min.
Test for second characteristic numeral 4 with spray nozzle
The counterbalanced shield is removed from the spray nozzle and the
enclosure is sprayed from all practicable directions.
The test duration is 1 min/m 2 of the calculated surface area of
the enclosure (excluding any mounting surface), with a minimum
duration of 5 min.
Standard:IEC60529 degree of protection provided by enclosures (IP Code) of
the IPX3 and IPX4, IEC60884-1, IEC60335-1, IEC60598-1.
Application:It is used for the testing of IPX3 and IPX4. Ingress Protection Test Equipment
