IEC60884-1 clause 24.18 figure 35. Verification of groove hole and reverse taper gauge

Standard:

IEC 60884-1 'Plugs and socket-outlets for household and similar purposes – Part 1: General requirements' clause 24.18, figure 35.

Application:

It is used to test the groove, hole and the reverse taper. It has become an indispensable and important equipment in household appliances manufacturer, quality inspection departments and R & D institution detected safety performance of household electrical products.

Feature:

1. Material of part probe: Stainless steel, dimensions: diameter Φ2.5 +0.05 0, the length is more than 100 mm.

2. Nylon handle, equip with M6 threaded holes at the end of the handle, it can be connected with pull and push dynamometer for making force application test.

Operation Steps

A gauge according to Figure 35, applied with a force of 1 N shall not enter more than 1.0 mm from the upper part of any groove, hole or reverse taper, or the like, when the gauge is applied parallel to the mounting / supporting surface and perpendicular to the part under test, as shown in figure 36.

Note: Verification as to whether, according to figure 35, the gauge has entered by more than 1.0 mm is made with reference to a surface perpendicular to face B and including the upper part of the outline of the grooves, holes, reverse tapers or the like.
